Welcome!
Finding a midwife that is compatible with yourself and your family is an important aspect when considering home birth. It is important that you understand any midwife’s background, education, experience, and philosophy when evaluating if a particular midwife meets your individual needs. By choosing a home birth, you assume a higher level of responsibility and more control over your care. I cannot stress how important it is to carefully consider all birthing options, do your research, interview potential care providers and ask questions. Write your questions down so you don't forget them before you have the opportunity to talk with a potential care provider.
I've had people ask me if I'm afraid of my upcoming birth. I've told them no because everyone in the room will be on my side. That removes a ton of the mental noise that I would've had to deal with otherwise.
